Learn how to make a Summer Flower Meadow Centrepiece with Afternoon Tea
Thursday 8th July 2021 – 13:00 – 16:00
The Summer meadow box is an abundant display of floral fancy. Packed full of flowers from the garden at Hamsey, you will create a sustainable arrangement in chicken wire set within a re-useable zinc trough.
The afternoon will start with a tour of Hamsey’s beautiful garden so that you can select which flowers and foliage you would like to use. You will then set to work creating a billowing summer arrangement.
All materials needed are supplied for you and you will pick the flowers you will use in your display from the garden. Your finished creation is yours to take home to very much enjoy!
Afternoon tea is supplied by LK Events and will be served at 2.30pm so that you can eat delicious cake while you flower arrange – perfect!
Your teacher for the session will be Caroline Towl. She loves to use plants, flowers and foliage to create an atmosphere, set a scene, build an environment and tell a story. She trained in theatre, making props and stage managing shows, and has brought her creative vision and skills to a wide variety of projects from West End musicals to running creative production teams for Hyde Park Winter Wonderland and music events for The Royal Parks. She has woven flowers and natural forms into her creations throughout her life and work. She also takes on floral commissions for many private events, from intimate dinners to large parties and weddings. She is delighted to be sharing her passion for flowers with Hamsey Gardening Club.
