‘I have always had a love of flowers - of bringing the outside in, of using stems that are grown in the garden to create arrangements with. Stems that have lived a life, bent to face the elements and so they create beautiful shapes in the vase. I delight in finding new colour combinations, or a flower that has faded to a soft tone. I am always on the hunt for an unusual leaf shape or a different textured flower. They bring me great joy and well…flowers just make everything better’

‘My other love is vintage treasures and curios. I try to incorporate them in all my work and styling. From a French brocante find bowl to a old haberdashery ribbon. I love to collect stoneware bottles and jars. The Flower Studio is a treasure trove of finds. Antiques have stories to tell and I love the craftmanship that has usually gone into the each piece. Flowers and vintage treasures are a perfect match.’

“A flowerless room is a soulless room, to my way of thinking; but even a solitary little vase of a living flower may redeem it.”
